Sports on TV!
That’s what AP moved. We added the exclamation point for emphasis.
We have Sox-Yankees this weekend. Celtics got back into it Friday night; Bruins get going again tomorrow. It is all good.
But between those tilts, if you’re looking for something that’s relevant to the locals, we offer the following suggestions. You’re welcome.
There’s a full slate of NBA action. Two we need to keep an eye on … the Miami Heat, trying to catch the Celtics, play on ESPN at 1 p.m. against the Denver Nuggets. Then at 8:30 p.m., the Lakers square off with Toronto. The Raptors are within reach if the Celtics are determined to move up to the No. 2 seed. Of course that means rooting for LeBron. Devil’s Bargain.
But even better than all that: The NHL is back. Five games unfold today in the return to the ice at the Canadian hubs in Edmonton and Toronto. Three matchups are in the East: Rangers-Hurricane at noon. Islanders-Panthers at 4 p.m. Canadiens-Penguins at 8 p.m. The Habs are on NBC, the others on NBCSN.
